Experience the Hornbill Festival on this 4-Day Nagaland Journey

You spend 3 nights in Kohima and visit the Hornbill Festival twice in 4 days. Day 1 is the drive from Dimapur and the local market. Day 2 is a full festival day at Kisama. Day 3 pairs the Kohima landmarks with a second Kisama session. Day 4 is the drive back to Dimapur.

From ₹35,500 per person for 2 guests; ₹33,500 for 4 guests; ₹32,000 for 6 to 10 guests. The package includes 3 nights at AKIM Homestay, breakfast, private transport, airport or railway transfers, and permit assistance.

Day 1: Dimapur to Kohima

• You arrive at Dimapur and transfer privately to Kohima, about 70 km and 3 to 4 hours.
• You check in at AKIM Homestay and visit the local market in the evening.
• Overnight at AKIM Homestay, Kohima.

Day 2: Hornbill Festival at Kisama

• You have breakfast at the homestay.
• You spend a full day at Kisama Heritage Village: traditional dance, indigenous music, ceremonial displays, local sports, craft demonstrations, handloom stalls, regional cuisine, and wood carving.
• Activities follow the official programme announced for your date.
• Overnight at AKIM Homestay, Kohima.

Day 3: Kohima landmarks and second Kisama visit

• You have breakfast at the homestay.
• You visit Kohima War Cemetery, Kohima Cathedral, Nagaland State Museum, and the Kohima viewpoint, weather permitting.
• You return to Kisama for a second festival session.
• Overnight at AKIM Homestay, Kohima.

Day 4: Kohima to Dimapur

• You have breakfast at the homestay.
• You transfer privately to Dimapur Airport or Railway Station, about 70 km and 3 to 4 hours.
• Allow a four-to-five-hour buffer before your reporting time during the festival.

Payment Terms

First Payment: 50% of the tour cost on the date of booking the tour.

Second Payment: 75% of the tour cost 30 days or more prior to the departure of the tour.

Final Payment: 100% of the tour cost 30 to 15 days prior to the departure of the tour.

Cancellation policy (per person)

• 30 days or more before arrival: 10% retention.
• 15 to 29 days before arrival: 50% retention.
• 14 days or less: 100% cancellation.

Supplier charges apply where relevant. No refund is available for unused services. The official festival programme changes daily; activities follow the schedule announced for the selected date.
